For the pre-exam exhibition in MOOOF I created an environment for a video I based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses, an ancient Roman epic that weaves 250 myths about changing and deforming bodies into a world’s history. My video, The Book of Longing, became a similar (but shorter) series of fairy tales which narrate not so much about transformation, but about love and the experience of it through my own body. The little tent and other textile objects of the installation enwrap my video in a cloak of the same other-worldly-ness that underlays my stories of love.
