ABOUT

My body and my relation to it are the starting points of the autobiographical story I tell through my drawings, video’s, performances, texts and sculptures. I am born with slightly trembling hands, arms and legs and this made me strongly aware of my body and the way it functions in the world and in connection to other people. My body is the core of my artistic practice, as well as the playing ground where the most important themes of my work – such as pain, vulnerability and (the longing for) intimacy – find meaning and expression.
